PhotoTek NYC has worked more than 4,800 events across the five boroughs since 2013. Photography runs on the same crew, the same insurance, and the same delivery platform as our booths, so a night that needs both is still one vendor, one certificate of insurance, and one gallery link at the end.
Tethered capture with our own culling software
Set up a tethered station and the camera stops shooting to a card somebody opens tomorrow. It runs straight into software we wrote ourselves, every frame lands on a screen as it is taken, and selection happens while the event is still going. This is the setup for headshots, executive portraits, and branded stations — anywhere the output needs a defined workflow instead of a shoot-now-sort-later gallery.
Shoot the burst, keep the frame
Nobody blinks their way through a headshot on our watch. We take several frames of every subject and pick the one where the eyes are open and the expression lands, instead of hoping the single shot worked.
Culled on site, not next week
At a tethered station the culling happens while the shoot is still in progress. Nobody pays for a week of scrolling through duplicates, and the keeper gets chosen before the subject walks away.
A workflow built to your spec
This is where tethering earns its keep. Because we own the software, the pipeline bends to your brief: a fixed crop for the staff directory, a background swap, your logo on the delivery page, a folder split by department before anything is sent.

Annual awards gala, Manhattan
A nonprofit’s awards night, covered from an empty room through the last presentation. The branded programs and catering were shot before doors while everything was still square, then the coverage moved to the guests. The organization came away with social frames, annual-report material, and portraits of every honoree.
Change-of-command ceremony, Long Island
A Navy Reserve Center change of command. A formal ceremony gives you no second take — the formation enters once, the band plays once, and the plaque changes hands once. Coverage gets planned against the printed program in advance and shot from positions that never put a photographer in the aisle.
Corporate holiday party, Manhattan high floor
Low light, a branded backdrop, and a dessert table the planner had built to be photographed — with the skyline doing the rest through the windows. Rooms like this get shot twice: once clean before anyone arrives, then again once the party fills it.

What does corporate event photography cost in NYC?
It depends on hours of coverage, how many photographers the room needs, and whether you want a portrait station running alongside. Send us the date, the venue, and your run of show and we will put a number to it.
How soon do we get the photos?
Anything shot at a tethered station is culled on site, so those selects are ready almost immediately. Roaming coverage is edited after the event, with full galleries landing within a week and usually within days. If you need a handful of frames for social the same night, say so in advance and we will pull them at the event.
What is tethered shooting, and why does it matter to us?
At a tethered station the camera is wired to a computer running our own software, so every frame appears on a screen the instant it is taken. Nobody guesses whether the shot worked, subjects approve their own portrait, and the culling and any custom workflow — fixed crops, background swaps, delivery branding — run during the event instead of a week later.
Can you shoot headshots at the same event?
Yes. We set up a lit portrait station alongside the main coverage, and each person picks their keeper off the tethered screen. For conference floors that need hundreds of portraits an hour instead, our AI headshot booth handles the volume.
Can we book photography and a photo booth together?
That is the most common way corporate clients book us. One contract, one certificate of insurance, one team in the building, and both the gallery and the booth output delivered through the same platform. Our brand activation setups pair with coverage the same way.
Are you insured, and can you provide a COI?
Yes to both. Tell us which entity the venue wants named and we will send the certificate over before the event, along with anything building operations needs for load-in.
